Which circular saw blade do I need for metal?
For structural and standard steels up to approx. 800 N/mm², tubes, profiles and solid material, the HSS DMo5 (M2, 1.3343) metal circular saw blade is the standard choice. For high volumes on automatic circular sawing machines, carbide or cermet blades pay off.
Which circular saw blade for stainless steel?
For stainless steel (V2A, V4A) and tough steels, use HSS-E EMo5Co5 (M35, 1.3243, approx. 5 % cobalt), ideally PVD-coated with TiCN or TiAlN.
Which circular saw blade for wood and firewood?
For firewood, a nail-resistant carbide-tipped blade is the robust choice, for example Ø 700 mm from stock. CV blades made of chrome vanadium are the alternative that you can resharpen yourself.

How your saw blade is made
- Inspection. We check the drawing, sample or machine number and define the diameter, thickness, bore, pin holes, tooth form and material.
- Blade body. Blank cutting, bore and pin holes to match the arbor and flange of your machine.
- Toothing. Tooth form and pitch to suit the material and cross-section – carbide tipped for TCT blades, with replaceable HSS segments for segmental blades.
- Hardening and grinding. Heat treatment to the right hardness, precision grinding of the teeth, straightening and tensioning.
- Coating (optional). PVD-coated with TiN, TiCN or TiAlN – WSH-Tools.de offers all common PVD coatings for its tools.
- Inspection and delivery. Checks of dimensions, flatness and runout, careful packaging, shipping.
